As you will see the kids had a great time and the weather was quite nice for a freeze out. Couldn’t go on Thorndike but the snowball fight seems to have made up for that.

The weekend was great, light rain, then sun, light rain, sun…. Never really bad. The kids worked on fire starting (as always), compass work and lashing.

This was a pretty massive effort over the last week or so, and we’d like to thank Scout 1st Class Terry R. for lending a helping hand.  Please, have a look around – feel free to add your comments and/or click our Sharing links – and as always let us know how we’re doing!

The weather was beautiful, including the snow on Sunday as we were packing and leaving. The Cub Scouts had a great time as did our new Scouts, Brandon, Adam and Kyle.

This was a well-attended event, in part due to the fact that the badge is only offered every few years; and a special one is being issued to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Scouting.

This was a special treat for us, of course, since many of the Scouts (and parents) have helped as volunteers in both cleaning the park as well as creating the new information booth, and more!

Troop 20 also was honored to present a cake to the last ever owner of Benson’s, Mr. Arthur Provencher.
