Summer is always a great season of scouting for our boys. Even though we get together less frequently, the events tend to be bigger in scope and proportionally fun!
So we’ve got the first of the Summer photos to share with you. Our infamous July Canoe Trip topped of with a day of White Water Rafting is always crowd pleaser, and this year was no exception!

Now that we’ve simplified the maintenance process here at troop20hudson.org, we were able to go back and fill in some old content.

Court of Honor and Robinson’s Pond pictures posted

Always a joy to see our boys advance. It was particularly exciting to see some of our newer Scouts accepting their first badges and ranks. The pictures of the Court of Honor have been posted here.
Mr. Quinn took the photos of Robinson’s Pond. Here’s his report:
The weekend was great, light rain, then sun, light rain, sun…. Never really bad. The kids worked on fire starting (as always), compass work and lashing.

New website!

This week, Troop 20′s website underwent a massive overhaul, as we moved all of our old content into WordPress and added a spiffy new design based on a skin by mipdesign. There are many reasons for it, but most importantly it will allow us to get new information and pictures to the site MUCH more quickly. We’ve also made things a lot easier to find by implementing a Search feature (seen at the top of the page). Search is your friend!
This was a pretty massive effort over the last week or so, and we’d like to thank Scout 1st Class Terry R. for lending a helping hand. Please, have a look around – feel free to add your comments and/or click our Sharing links – and as always let us know how we’re doing!
